Andrews AFB Air Show 2008 - Joint Services Open House Please come join us as we commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. To include meeting the "Candy Bomber" in the flesh, Col (ret) Gail Halvorsen, and other special attractions from the WWII era.
In addition to the always exciting Navy Blue Angels and the Army's Golden Knights, this year's event will once again host a wide variety of both military and civilian air and ground demonstrations. To include the Air Force's newest and the world's most advanced fighter jet which will include more maneuvers than the 2007 show. This jet fighter can do things you didn't believe possible. The F-22 demonstration will be on all three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
The three-day extravaganza takes place May 16th-18th. Friday, May 16 is open to Department of Defense personnel and school-sponsored children only. May 17 & 18 is open to the public. We offer free no hassle parking, and free admission. Parking for the event is at FedEx field with convenient shuttle service to and from FedEx field and Branch Ave Metro station on both Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is FREE. There are plenty of food vendors here on the air show floor with a variety of food and drink items. If you wish to bring your own food and drink, please be aware of what items are allowed into the show area, you can do that by clicking on the "security" button above.
Security and parking space prohibit unauthorized vehicle admission to Andrews Air Force Base. Guests can park at FedEx Field where shuttle buses will provide transportation to Andrews. Shuttles will also run from the Branch Ave Metro Station.

The Navy Blue Angels will start their show at 3:00 pm (1500)
The Air Force F-22 will fly between 1:00 and 3:00

Fort Smith Regional Air Show 2008 Fort Smith has a rich history in aviation and plays host to one of the premier air show in the country every other year. The 2008 Fort Smith Regional Air Show will take place on a most appropriate set of dates, May 17 & 18, which is Armed Forces weekend.
The United States Air Force Thunderbirds and the United States Army Golden Knights parachute team are the headline acts for the 2008 Fort Smith show which will also feature a wide range of civilian acts, numerous static displays and a demonstration by the 188th Fighter Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard.
Free parking and free shuttle service to the Air Show site at Fort Smith Regional Airport will be available from Southside High School, Ben Geren Regional Park and Phoenix Village Mall.
The Fort Smith Airshow is one of the largest of its kind in the country with no admission charge and promises to be bigger and better than ever, paying tribute to our armed forces and every aspect of aviation. |
